Dear Defender Families,

We've reached the final week of the 1st semester—time truly has flown!

As your students finish their last round of finals, we encourage them to remain focused and punctual to finish the semester strong.

🗓️ Important Schedule Updates & Dismissal Times

Please take note of the schedule for this final week and our return:

• Wednesday, December 17: Regular Scheduled Day. Dismissal is at 2:30 PM.

• Friday, December 19: Minimum Day (Last Day of Semester). Dismissal is at 12:10 PM.

• Winter Break runs from Monday, December 22, through Monday, January 5.

• Students return for the 2nd Semester on Tuesday, January 6. Dismissal is at 2:30 PM

📚 Second Semester Schedules

For students beginning new electives, please check Infinite Campus for your schedule before the return date.

Some schedules may have been adjusted to balance classes.

🎉 Wishing You a Wonderful Break

We wish everyone a very restful and joyful Winter Break, and we look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, January 6.

Parents, please be alert and use extra caution when driving near the school before and after school hours. We have many students who walk, ride scooters, and bike to and from campus. Your attentiveness and slower speeds help keep everyone safe. We truly appreciate your support in keeping our Defenders safe.

Thank you for your continued support. Our December Deals are live on the DMS website now — we’re offering a sale on hoodies, sweatpants, and joggers. All items are approved for wear in PE classes.

Students can order online Webstore Link or purchase in the ASB room 515 during bookkeeper hours: Monday before school, Tuesday after school, and Thursday before school. ASB will deliver purchases to your student during Advisement. The sale runs through winter break.

Students created constitution posters focusing on checks and balances and separation of powers.

Students used their textbook to label the physical features of India on a map.

Students worked with a partner to solve multi-step percent application problems.

Students performed on Tuesday for their Winter Holiday Concert. All three levels did a wonderful job!!!
