Francis Tuttle Updates
July 31, 2025
Team,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer break! I’m excited to be stepping into the role of Director of the Career Planning Center and to be joining such a dedicated and talented group of professionals. I’m looking forward to meeting each of you, whether at the Summit or once school gets underway! It’s been a busy and productive summer in the CPC. Below, I will introduce the new members who will be joining us this year!
Like last year, we will be sending out a quarterly newsletter to keep everyone informed. We’ll continue to meet throughout the school year, including our fall and spring counselor breakfasts (dates shared below). As a reminder, it is an expectation that all full-time Career Counselors attend all scheduled FT meetings.
I’m excited to work alongside this awesome team!
Thank you,
Toby Blair
Welcome Back!
A note from CRD:
Many of the CRD recruiting events for 2025/2026 school year have been scheduled. You will receive a list of dates, times and locations by August 1, 2025.
CRD will contact you in early August to verify event details and discuss other student recruiting events. The team will also make trips out to visit all the schools, and to drop off some FT items to start the year. Thank you for your partnership and for all you do for students!

Summer Conference
Please look for Francis Tuttle signage at the Summit during the general session because we will try to all sit together.
Be sure to download the OK Summit App. This is the best way to see the agendas for both days. The at-a-glance schedule is also available online.
You will need to be prepared to turn in proof of attendance (Summit Registration Verification Form) to Dawn Herrera (Dawn.Herrera@francistuttle.edu) after the conference.
Just like last year, we thought it would be fun for us to all gather for lunch on Day 1 of the Summit. Please see the info below and accept/decline the calendar invite that was set out last week - the sooner the better so we can relay this information to the restaurant!
High School Application Updates
If you have additional students wishing to apply upon returning to school this fall, please help them complete an online application as soon as possible, and review the HS Counselor Section as these apps come in so that the Career Advisors here at FT have time to review and place (capacity permitting). You may have already noticed, many of you have applications in your inbox from students who applied on their own in June or July too!
If you have additional students who you would like considered for Project HOPE for Fall 2025, please be sure to have the student complete an online career training application quickly. Just as we did in the spring, you will review the HS Counselor Section, and complete the HOPE Checklist within the application, along with attaching all the required supplemental documents. The system automatically notifies the Reno and Rockwell HOPE personnel, respectively. Please remember that any late HOPE add is contingent upon capacity within the career training programs allowing a late add.
Student Withdrawals
If you have a student who informs you that they have changed their mind and no longer wish to attend Francis Tuttle, please inform CPC as soon as possible. We are closely tracking our withdrawals, so it is important we are accurately cataloguing the reason. In your communication, please indicate the reason from these choices below:
- attendance issues
- changed mind
- deceased
- disciplinary
- family issues
- return to HS/graduation requirements
- return to HS/Core Academics
- medical issues
- moved

- other - please be specific
- personal reasons
- scheduling issues
- transportation
- unknown
- work related
