Cliff's Notes Cliff's Notes

Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,

On June 11th, the school committee passed a resolution for combating antisemitism and all forms of hate and bias, which creates a taskforce to address this important work. I shared this statement standing against antisemitism and hate to emphasize the district's and my personal commitment to this work. The committee also passed a healthy school hours resolution which creates a working group to develop an implementation plan to change school start times. We look forward to working with stakeholders to tackle these challenges together. See below for forms to indicate interest in serving on either group. In addition, the school committee voted to extend my contract as superintendent, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to continue serving this community. This will be my last formal update for the 2024-2025 school year---we have accomplished so much together as outlined in FY25 Year-End Update - 2024-2027 BPS Strategic Plan June 2025. I leave you with a musical excerpt from For Good that I shared with the Class of 2025 at their graduation, honoring the importance and strength of relationships and how we make each other better.

Because I knew you

I have been changed...

For good.

Have a wonderful summer!
