Good News Bulletin

This week, the lobby of Elizabeth High School was more colorful than usual. The annual Elizabeth School District Art Show added dozens of art pieces made from students at all grade levels. EHS Art Teacher Daniel Barclay says the artwork had to be created within the current school year, but did not have to come from any particular classes.

The artwork was judged by the Elbert County Artist's Guild and prizes to the winners included gift cards and cash. Barclay says this year's show included both 2D and 3D submissions and came in the form of different media. He says most of the work was representational although some would be considered a bit more abstract.

Art was submitted from Singing Hills Elementary and Running Creek Elementary all the way up through middle and high school. Each grade from Kindergarten through 12th grade was represented. Barclay says awards were handed out at each grade level and to each school as a whole.

Fantastic work!
