Attention Class of 2026 families! Our seniors are hard at work on their Capstone Projectsβ€”a graduation requirement that showcases their growth, interests, and real-world problem-solving skills.

Parents and guardians, here are a few ways you can support your student:

  • Ask reflective questions: β€œWhat’s the focus of your Capstone project?” β€œWhat progress have you made since last week?”

  • Encourage time management: Help them plan when to research, interview, and refine their presentation.

  • Celebrate milestones: Recognize each step they completeβ€”it helps keep motivation high!

πŸ—“ Capstone Timeline & Milestones

  • October 15–16: Project Proposal Presentations

  • November 19–20: Mentor Contract Due

  • January 28–29: Mid-Year Review Presentations

  • May: Final Presentations Begin

  • June 1: Final Paper Due

We’re so proud of the creativity and determination our seniors are showing as they prepare for this major milestone. More updates and tips will be shared throughout the year to help them succeed!

Peek At The Week Peek At The Week

College Admission Visits:
College counselors are visiting Charette to share information about the colleges they represent and encourage students to consider applying. This week, our 12th-grade students had the chance to hear from Maya Suggs from Rhode Island College (RIC) during their ILP–College and Career course. It was an exciting opportunity for students to explore their next steps and ask questions about college life! πŸŽ“πŸ“š

Health Class Culinary Fun:
Our 9th-grade students got hands-on in the kitchen this week! One group whipped up broccoli alfredo, while the other created a delicious pasta with greens and beans. Judging by the smiles (and empty plates!), everyone enjoyed the experience and learned some tasty lessons along the way! 🍝
