Calling all ghosts, goblins and ghouls...or really anyone under the age of 14 interested in candy! The annual FHS Halloween Fest is taking place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The stadium gates will open at 3:30PM to welcome our young community members in for fun, games, candy and more! Costumes are not required but are more than welcome! The evening will conclude at 5:30PM.

While this is a FREE event, Student Council encourages the donation of a canned food item that will be given to the Palatine Food Pantry to help fill their Thanksgiving Baskets. Not sure what to donate? CLICK HERE for a list of items the food pantry is hopeful to receive.

Halloween Expectations @ FHS Halloween Expectations @ FHS

Vikes,

As Halloween approaches, it is important for us as a community to remember the values that make us great. Every day at Fremd, we ask our students and staff to demonstrate what it means to be mighty, brave, and bold. We have a wide audience in our building (students, teachers, parents, community members, preschool children). If you choose to dress up in a costume on Thursday, October 31st for Halloween, there are some expectations that must be adhered to in order to keep our school safe and welcoming to all people in our Viking community. Prior to dressing up, please ensure that your costume does not perpetuate harm by following the following expectations:

  • no costumes which may be considered offensive or perpetuating a stereotype of someone's background
  • Be considerate of cultural differences, and know that wearing a costume that portrays a culture that is not your own can be considered offensive
  • no costumes which depict violence, alcohol, drugs, or are sexual in nature
  • costumes must provide adequate body coverage for a school setting
  • no costumes or accessories which depict weapons or depict gore and violence
  • no face paint
  • no Halloween masks
  • costumes cannot interfere with a teacher's lesson in class or your mobility to access hallways during the school day

Students violating these or any other school expectations will be referred to the Intervention Office. If there are any questions, stop by and ask your administrator about your costume idea. Be smart and be creative while following FHS expectations.

Sincerely,

FHS Administration

Come support the Fremd Vikings as they take on the Victor J. Andrew Thunderbolts in the first round of the IHSA football state playoffs. Game time is 7:30PM in the stadium; we recommend arriving early to ensure yourself a parking spot! Everyone entering the stadium must have a ticket (no student IDs/Booster passes will be accepted). Cash may be used to purchase a ticket onsite, however we encourage purchasing digital tickets through IHSA GoFan to help expedite the entrance process. Only students with digital tickets will be allowed to enter the stadium through the pass gate; all other spectators will flow through the ticket booth area.
