A Note from Mrs. Pitts

Dear RES Families,

As part of our ongoing commitment to support the development of our students, we are pleased to inform you that our school will be utilizing SAEBRS (Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener). The SAEBRS is a brief, norm-referenced tool for screening all students to identify the presence of well-being and social and emotional competencies.

In October, grade level teachers will complete a screener for each of their students in K-2. I will administer a different version of this screener to all 3rd&4th grade students in their classrooms during the second and third week of October. If you have a 3rd or 4th grade student, please complete THIS FORM to grant permission to our school for the administration of this screener.

If you have ANY questions, please please please reach out to me and we can chat about it!

Thanks for your support!

Michelle Pitts, Principal

Lori Arsenault, School Counselor

Mrs. Barrett is looking for support from volunteers who would like to help photograph student artwork and upload it to Artsonia.

We’ve had such wonderful feedback about students’ ongoing digital art portfolios—families love being able to see their child’s creativity grow and projects build year after year.

If you’d like to help, please email Mrs. Barrett at jbarrett@sau50.org. Thank you so much for considering!

Third Grade Family Fun Night – Capture the Chicken!

A huge thank you to Mrs. Goss and Mr. Ross for hosting such a fantastic event! On Wednesday night, our third graders and their families gathered for the ultimate game of Capture the Chicken. The field was full of energy, laughter, and some serious teamwork!

We wrapped up the evening with plenty of delicious ice cream – the perfect sweet ending to a fun-filled night. What a great way to bring our school community together!

OLD

Dot Day was on Monday, September 15 , which recognizes the Peter H. Reynolds book, The Dot, a story about being brave and making your mark! In art class, students created their own dots inspired by artist Wassily Kandinsky, using tempera paints to “make their mark.”

FEATURE: FIRST GRADE FIELD TRIP TO RYE!!! FEATURE: FIRST GRADE FIELD TRIP TO RYE!!!

Thanks to REF, our first grade had the most incredible field trip experience, to their OWN TOWN!! Students visited the post office, library, historical museum, safety building and Goss Farm. A special thank you to Alex Herlihy, Joe Martilla and the Rye Conservation Committee, the Rye fire and police staff, team members at the Rye Library, the staff at the post office.
