Greetings Kindergarten Families,

I hope this finds you well and enjoying the fall season! I wanted to reach out with a few pieces of information.

As always, please reach out to me or your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

LifeTouch Pictures

We have been in active communication with LifeTouch Photography about the delay in some families receiving their child’s school picture proofs. I was reassured by LifeTouch this week that they should arrive within the next week. Thanks for your patience.

Fire Safety Week

We will observe Fire Safety Week at the Education Center by having our local fire department visit with our kindergarten students on Wednesday, October 11. The fire department will also help us conduct a fire drill next week. This is a great opportunity for families to have fire safety discussions at home as well!

Celebrating Fall/Halloween

As we approach the winter season, there are a variety of exciting and special days on the calendar that affect the school day. This is often the day before a long break, or the day before a specific holiday. October 31, Halloween lands on a school day. This brings an opportunity for classrooms to provide a memorable experience for our young students. Using fall/Halloween activities is one way to tap into the energy of students and enhance learning.

We will be observing fall and Halloween activities within our classrooms on October 31.

  • Students may wear costumes on this school day.

  • We have very young children in our school, and we want Halloween to be fun, not scary! If you are shopping for your child's costume, know we do not allow costumes that are gory (no blood, guts, or eyeballs hanging out), immodest, or otherwise inappropriate for kids. Students with inappropriate costumes will be required to change.

  • No weapons: Real or pretend

  • No makeup, hair spray, glitter, or hair dye to be used while at school.

Also, mark your calendars for our UnScary Halloween Party on Friday, October 27th! See flier below for more information.

Winter Clothing Reminder

As the temperatures drop, please ensure your child comes to school dressed warmly. Layers, hats, gloves, and scarves are essential to keep our students cozy during outdoor activities. We kindly request that all winter clothing items are labeled with your child’s name. This helps us reunite lost items with their owner.
