A Note from Mrs. Hover - Occupational Therapist

“After school restraint collapse” is an emotional and physical release some children experience upon arriving home. After spending the day using their mental and physical energy to follow school routines, they may be low on capacity. Please see the link below for strategies to help students “reboot” and “recharge” their bodies to help them cope with this release and decrease meltdowns.

This is done through fundraisers, events, and activities. The PCC fully funds field trips for every student at Jefferson, holds Book Fairs, hosts Cultural Enrichment Assemblies for the children, and sponsors the Artist in Residence Program each year. Please visit their website linked here, follow the Jefferson Elementary PCC Franklin, MA Facebook page, or connect with the Board at jeffersonpccfranklin@gmail.com to learn more! They are already planning some great events this year and we hope you will mark your calendars and attend or even help out when you can!
