Community Partnership

The “Reading Rotarians” visited Carus and Trost recently! That means students in grades K-3 enjoyed a guest story reader and then picked a book to keep from a big table of choices. One of Canby Rotary’s core values is literacy, which is why they have continued this great initiative, rotating which schools they visit each year.

Student Spotlight

Students Lead

Canby High School leadership students attended the Oregon Association of Student Councils Spring Conference in Seaside, Oregon on April 28-29. CHS students hosted and led a breakout session, where they shared ideas about how they connect with their community and met other school leaders. OASC awarded Canby's student council gold-level status, the highest offered.

Fine Dining

Trost and Knight sixth-graders had the chance to participate in a fine-dining lunch! Director of Nutrition Services Laura Perry held a lesson on etiquette and manners before students partook! The staff and volunteers pitched in at each school to make the event a huge success. Fine dining is coming soon to more Canby elementary schools this month!
