First Week of School! First Week of School!

What an incredible first week! Our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders brought amazing energy and positivity. We jumped straight into building strong classroom communities.

This year, we switched to two lunches. We expanded spaces for students into the atrium and opened the gym for students to get some movement in as they reset with friends and classmates. Our cafeteria team has been very happy with the change, and our students did a better job with it every day.

On Thursday, August 27th, the entire 6th grade got together for a grade level meeting to review school expectations in the Cafetorium, and they did a fantastic job committing to keep school safe and to prioritize learning. 7th and 8th grade meetings are coming up this week!

We have an exciting year ahead filled with loads of learning, school spirit, and growth. Thank you for partnering with us to make the kickoff to the new year such a success. Let’s keep this momentum going—it’s going to be a fantastic year!

A Note From The Counselors A Note From The Counselors

Our team has officially wrapped up all schedule change requests. The deadline to submit those was today (Thursday, 8/27) at noon. They have all been completed!

Looking ahead, students will have the chance to join the Counselor Corner Google Classroom next week. They'll also get all the details on how to easily book appointments with their assigned counselors whenever they need a hand.

AGS Lunch Schedule AGS Lunch Schedule

Lunches are determined based on each student's 4th hour teacher, which you can find by looking at schedules in StudentVue. Every student will have either Lunch A or Lunch B, and lunch time differs depending which daily schedule we're running. The AGS Lunch Schedule and Menu for August are located below for your reference.

Update Parent Vue for 2026-27 School Year - MUST DO Prior to Schedule Pick-Up!

When logging into Parent Vue you will be asked to register your student for the 2026-27 school year BEFORE you can view your student information such as grades and attendance.

In the event you cannot log in to Parent Vue, please contact the building your student is currently or will be attending in 2026-27 school with any questions and login assistance. This step MUST be complete BEFORE Student Schedules can be picked up in August.

New Families: Create a Parent Vue account and login in to enroll new students.

Current FAPS Families: Log into your Parent Vue account to enroll new students and/or to update your current student information.

FAPS Is Utilzing New System for Payment- Please See Details Below!

Fenton Area Public Schools is excited to announce a new online payment system to replace what we were using in the past which was eFunds for Schools. This new online payment from RevTrak opens up a ton of opportunities to pay for school fees and other school activities, such as field trips (coming soon!) and dance events like homecoming (coming soon!).

We are continuously building out our webstore for the future events and fees but we are set up for the start of the school year. You will see items appear starting in early August. You are able to create your account now so that you can add a payment method (Whether it is a credit card or your bank account using routing and account numbers) so you are ready to pay for items on the webstore.

Adding money to your student's lunch account remains the same as it was using the family portal from MealMagic. You will notice RevTrak or Vanco being listed on your bank statements instead of eFunds as RevTrak/Vanco is the new payment processor for MealMagic.

Having an account will keep your purchase history and you will be able to see any required or optional fees that are assigned to your child or children.

The link to the webstore is fentonschools.revtrak.net and it can also be found on our website under the Our District tab.

There are a few step by step guides linked that will walk you through how to create an account and link your child or children to your account so please follow those steps carefully.

  • How to link a student to your account

  • How to add a payment method

Student Supervision - Looking for Partners! Student Supervision - Looking for Partners!

User uploaded image

As we prepare for an incredible school year, our top priority is creating a safe, supportive environment where our middle schoolers can thrive. Lunchtime is a vital part of the day—a less structured time where students practice independence, social skills, and self-reliance. To support them during this daily transition, we are looking for positive adult role models to join us as paid Lunchtime Supervisors.

The ideal candidate understands the unique balance of keeping students safe while still giving them the space they need to grow. If you or someone you know loves working with middle school students and wants to make a direct impact on our school culture, we would love to hear from you.

While there is no official district job posting yet, you can express early interest right now. Please reach out directly to Zach Bradley (zbradley@fentonschools.org) or Ben Malecki (bmalecki@fentonschools.org) via email to learn more about the hourly rate, schedule, and responsibilities.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school safe and vibrant!
