Mission Statement: Bryan High School, in partnership with students, families, and the community, provides a student-centered learning environment that cultivates character, fosters academic excellence, and embraces diversity to prepare students for post-secondary opportunity and career readiness.

Dear Bear Families,

With the arrival of spring, our school is buzzing with energy and achievements. As we enter the final quarter of the year, I want to share some important updates that will help our students finish strong.

NEW Cell Phone Expectations Update: Starting next year, we are taking steps to cultivate an environment where every student can focus and thrive. To support this, cell phones and personal electronic devices will be stored and out of sight during classroom time. Please discuss with your students how they can adapt to these changes for NEXT YEAR.

Finishing Strong:

· The 4th Quarter is a crucial time for everyone to buckle down and end on a high note.

· After-school tutoring is available Tuesdays and Thursdays until 5:15 PM in the library.

· Seniors, mark your calendars! Senior Saturdays will be held 4/20, 4/27, and 5/4 to provide you the opportunity to work one-one with core subject teachers from 9am-Noon in the library.

Looking Ahead:

· Registration for the upcoming year is complete, with students across all grade levels preparing for their next academic steps.

· Juniors, the ACT on April 9th is your time to shine—keep pushing with your prep!

· Freshman, Sophomores, and Seniors do not have school on April 9th.

· Please share your anonymous feedback about how we are doing at Bryan High by clicking here: Parent Voice Survey. We value your feedback and work to improve based on it.

Academies in Action: Education Academy

Extended Learning Opportunities Illuminate Lessons: In late January, Education Academy Teaching as a Profession Pathway juniors and seniors toured the Kiewit Luminarium to see education in other contexts and understand the educational components of the exhibits. They, of course, also managed to have a lot of fun! Thank you, Kiewit Luminarium for the opportunity to learn from you!

Future Teachers are Inspirational: In February, Education Academy students led Educators Rising Week to recognize those students taking their first steps toward choosing education as a career. Many students shared their why for choosing to be in Educators Rising, and their inspiring answers included wanting to impact students’ lives and making schools welcoming and safe places to be.

To Educators Rising Nationals We Go! In Early March, Fourteen members of Educators Rising attended the State Leadership Conference and Competition in Fremont, NE. Eight of our entries took first or second place and qualified those students for Nationals in Washington, D.C. this summer—way to go, Bears! We are proud of you and can’t wait to celebrate your achievements to come!
