Argyle High School continued its reign among the highest-achieving schools in the state this year! AHS finished 3rd in Class 5A in the UIL Lone Star Cup Award with 93 points.

The Lone Star Cup is awarded to the state's most successful schools in each classification based on competitions in academics, fine arts and athletics.

The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees recently unanimously approved the 2025–2026 Teacher & Staff Compensation Plan—a major milestone in our continued commitment to valuing and retaining our exceptional team of educators and staff.

In April, the Board approved 35+ new teaching positions and reinstated key support staff roles to address the first two priorities. Following the recent passage of HB2, a historic $8.5 billion investment in Texas public education, Argyle ISD worked diligently to finalize a compensation plan that reflects both our financial stewardship and the vital work of our employees.

Approved 2025–2026 Compensation Plan Highlights:

• Teachers (0–2 years completed experience): $2,100 raise (≈3.5%)

• Teachers (3–4 completed years): $2,500 raise (≈4%)

• Teachers (≥5 completed years): $5,000 raise (≈8%)

• All Other Staff: 3.5% raise of the pay range category midpoint

Stadium on Aug. 12 on the “last first day” to start their senior year.

This week Argyle ISD leadership held its first meeting of the transition teams in preparation for the move to two middle schools and two high schools in the fall of 2027!

The groups brainstormed action items in all departments and programs. We will continue to share more information with Argyle ISD families and staff throughout this process.

Sharing our story! Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Courtney Carpenter was a special guest at the Greater Denton/Wise County Association of REALTORS luncheon on Thursday in Denton at the Embassy Suites.

Dr. Carpenter shared a state of the district presentation that provided details on enrollment growth and the successful history of the district. Ponder and Krum ISDs also presented district updates.

The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees will hold its next regular Board meeting on Tuesday, July 22 at 6 p.m. Meetings are held at the Argyle ISD Dr. Telena L. Wright Administration building, located at 6701 Canyon Falls Dr. in Flower Mound. The meeting is open to the public.

Time is allotted for public comment and all agendas can be found on the district's website at argyleisd.com. The meeting will be live-streamed and available on Argyle ISD's YouTube channel. Live updates from the meeting will also be posted to the district's X account.

Construction is moving forward on several major Bond 2022 projects, including the Argyle ISD Stadium, Indoor Activity Center (IAC), and the new Argyle ISD Middle School.

Stadium & Indoor Activity Center Update:

✅ Visitor grandstands installation complete
✅ Press box construction underway
✅ Rafters are currently being installed at the IAC
📅 Estimated substantial completion: November 2025

New Argyle ISD Middle School Update:

✅ Tennis court pads in preparation
✅ Storm shelter walls completed

The Argyle ISD Police Department recently had a great week at the Texas School Safety Center, where they earned their Advanced and Intermediate Certificates! It was a full week of valuable training, updates, and connecting with other school safety professionals from across the state.

The Eagles competed last weekend in the Dave Campbell's Texas Football 7-on-7 state tournament in College Station.

Argyle finished second in its DIVISION I POOL and reached the second round of the CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET with more than 60 teams competing!

It's been a busy recruiting summer for some members of the Eagle football team. Three rising seniors have made oral commits to three Division I schools.

CB Maliek Bracy - Memphis

Congratulations to these Eagles who will officially sign letters of intent during the fall semester.

The Argyle Lady Eagle Golf Team has been putting in serious work on the course. These Lady Eagle golfers compete in events all over the state—and even beyond—and play on some of the top junior tours, such as the NTPGA, NTJGT, and TJGT.

The Lady Eagles have traveled across North Texas, West Texas (Midland and Abilene), and into Oklahoma, gaining experience and pushing themselves to get better with every round.

One standout moment came from rising senior Colbie Moses, who picked up a win at the TJGT event in Oklahoma City at Earlywine Golf Club. She followed that up with a 4th place finish at the 101st Dallas Junior Golf Championship.

Next week, several Lady Eagles will be back in action at the 51st Fort Worth Junior Golf Association Championship.
