Late Arrival, Early Pick-Up or Change of Dismissal Plans
If your student will be arriving late, getting picked up early or has a change to their after school plan, please contact the Country View Office via email (cv-frontdesk@verona.k12.wi.us) or phone (608-845-4803). Changes to after school plans must be communicated by 1:15pm.
We ask that you do not email or call teachers about picking up your student early or with a change to their dismissal plan as they are busy teaching and may not have the opportunity to check their email or voicemail prior to the end of the day.
Bus Information
You can find your student’s bus stop by visiting the Infofinder website and entering your home address.
Bus Routes will not be finalized until late August. If your child is utilizing specialized transportation per the IEP, you will be notified of their bus route via email.
Families are to use the large parking lot on the west side of the building to drop their student(s) off if they are transporting them. Doors will open at 9:00 (M) and 7:15 (T-F).
Some general reminders to practice for both drop off and pick up:
Drive slow, no more than 5 mph!
This is a no cell phone use area. Stay aware!
Along the curb is the pick up lane. Stay in the pick up lane, do NOT dodge in and out of the pick up line. We are asking everyone to stay in the line and keep moving forward to receive your child.
We are using the left lane as the exit lane. Once you drop off or have your child(ren), you can slowly exit the pick up line and exit out of the parking lot using the left lane.
Drop-Off:
When bringing your child in the morning please remember this is the kiss and fly zone! DO NOT stop and drop your child off at specific doors; this causes cars to back up. Make sure you pull ahead as far as possible and drop your child off. Parents should not get out of their vehicles. The teachers outside will make sure your child gets to the appropriate door.
Reminder, our doors open at 9:00 (M)/7:15 (T-F) and instruction starts at 9:20 (M)/7:30 (T-F). Please have your child here before this time in order to give them time to walk to their classroom, hang up their winter gear, grab a breakfast, and get in the classroom.
All side doors will be locked at 9:15 (M)/7:25 (T-F) in order for teachers to get to classrooms for instruction. If you are running late, please drop your child off at the front doors.
The drop-off area in the front of Country View, the horseshoe area, will be for BUSES ONLY. All bus students will enter the front doors, get a breakfast (if they would like to) and then head to their classroom. If you arrive after the side doors are locked, please drop off your student(s) in the front horseshoe.
Pick-Up:
- When you come to pick up your child please stay in your car while continuing to move forward. Make sure you do not block the exit for the buses. Also, do not park in the street on the school side, this causes traffic to back up.
- We must know NO LATER than 1:15 about changes to your child's pick-up schedule. Please call the front office to notify staff of the change. Again, do not email or call teachers as they are busy teaching and may not have an opportunity to check the email or voicemail.
Registration must be completed every year and can be completed through your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Registration Information will be emailed to families by the end of July.
