REMINDERS & NOTES
Dear Parents and Families,
As we come to the end of this school year, I want to thank you for your trust, kindness, and support. It has truly been a privilege to teach your child and be a part of their learning journey.
This class has meant so much to me. Your children brought laughter, joy, and light into our classroom every day. I’ve watched them grow, learn, and become more confident, and I couldn’t be prouder of each one of them. Please know how deeply I care about your child , they’ve become a part of my heart. One moment I’ll never forget is the day I wasn’t feeling well, and every child offered to share their snack with me, some even playfully argued over who would get to give theirs first. That small moment showed me how big their hearts are. It reminded me just how kind, thoughtful, and loving this group truly is. As they get ready for 3rd grade, I know they’ll continue to grow, shine, and make you proud. They are full of potential, and I can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things they’ll do in the years ahead. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me..With all my love and gratitude.

REMINDERS & NOTES
Dear Parents,
What a year it has been! From the brightest days to the more challenging moments, this school year has been a beautiful journey of growth, learning, and resilience. Through it all, one thing has remained constant—your children have shown tremendous strength, maturity, and determination.
Whether it was mastering academic challenges, learning to be a better friend, or growing in responsibility and character, each and every student in our class has achieved something meaningful. I have witnessed their growth firsthand, and I could not be prouder of the amazing individuals they are becoming.
As we close this chapter, I’m reminded of a quote that perfectly captures the heart of this journey:
"Stand up for what you believe in, even if it means standing alone."
Your children have learned to do just that—be brave, be kind, and be themselves, no matter what. That courage is something they’ll carry with them forever.
Congratulations to the 5th Grade Class of 2025!
And of course... congrats to my Minions—each one of you is destined for great things.
Change the world.
Love always,
Ms. Gru

Encourage daily reading—novels, biographies, or even graphic novels. Have your child write short stories, keep a summer journal, or respond to writing prompts. Discuss what they read to build comprehension and vocabulary, and visit your local library for fresh book choices.
Math
Keep math skills sharp by practicing multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. Use sites like IXL, SplashLearn, I-Ready or Khan Academy for interactive lessons. Incorporate math into everyday activities—measuring ingredients while cooking, calculating distances on trips, or budgeting during shopping.
Also, tutoring and even joining a local sports team or the YMCA can also help build both academic skills and confidence.
Science & Social Studies
Explore nature, visit museums, or watch kid-friendly documentaries to dive into topics like ecosystems, weather, U.S. history, or world cultures. Try simple science experiments at home or explore local history through landmarks and community events. Learning is everywhere!

English Language Arts - Sr. Aisha Taylor
Congratulations on completing a wonderful year! Students will spend the week celebrating their successes in the 7th grade. I am so very grateful to have spent the year with such intelligent, funny, and thoughtful students. May allah protect them and guide them always.
If you are looking for enrichment activities for your students to do over the summer, there are so many incredible options! Students can join the public libraries summer reading program! They have many different activities involved, books to read, and even prizes when kids finish reading or meet different milestone!
I also recommend to keep your kids writing! Writing does not always have to be related to school! They can update their family and friends to their summer plans through letters and postcards, they can create mini-blogs about their summer trips, write captions or explanations for funny photos! Having students engage in learning in various environments encourages them to think critically about their surroundings and pursue knowledge constantly!
Insha’allah, you will each have an amazing summer and I look forward to seeing you all in the fall!
Jazak’allah Khair for everything!
