Evergreen Middle School - October 30, 2026
Principal's Corner
Evergreen families,
As we wrap up our first quarter, I have been reflecting on the challenges we experienced at the start of September and how far we have come. I cannot tell you how proud I am of the resilience, flexibility, and commitment shown by our students, staff, and families. We faced some challenges, continued to support one another, and closed out the quarter strong!
One of the best parts of being a Grizzly is seeing all the ways our students get involved and grow. From the classroom to athletics, clubs, and performing arts, we have seen great participation and so many opportunities for students to discover something new. There is nothing better than watching a student try something for the first time, begin to discover a passion, or develop a new skill in the classroom. These experiences are an important part of what makes middle school such a special time.
As we begin second quarter, we look forward to continued learning and growth in our classrooms, along with the many opportunities for students to explore their interests, build connections, and find their place at Evergreen. We want every student to feel connected, challenged, and excited about what they are learning and experiencing each day.
If any of you are interested in volunteering with our Grizzly Care Crew, we will hold a brief training on November 5 at 5:15 p.m. This will be in addition to filling out the volunteer packet which you can find that information in the email that was previously sent. We appreciate the ways our families help make Evergreen a welcoming and supportive place for all students.
Also, you will see information below about the Trivia Night that PTO is putting on. This is for students and families so we would encourage you to think about signing up!
Thank you for being a part of our Grizzly community. I am proud of the way we have come together this quarter, and I look forward to second quarter and continued academic growth and participation in all the activities!
Go Grizzlies!
Tim

Cheerleading Club Update
- Mark your calendars! The Final Forms link for Winter Cheer will go live on Friday, January 8th.
- We will share reminders through Mr. Teterud’s weekly Grizzly Newsletters as the date approaches.
- Cheerleaders participating in our winter season will cheer for EMS boys’ basketball teams when they play at home games.
- Practices will occur Mondays, Wednesdays & tentatively Thursdays.
- Basketball season is fast and furious! The schedule is jam-packed with multiple games per week. That being said, we’re taking into consideration the feedback we’ve received from our cheerleaders as we work to establish a winter season cheer schedule.
- We will cheer at games one night per week (likely on Thursdays), and will continue to have at least 1-2 practices per week once the season starts.
- More to come!
