Kindergarten - Investigating dirt and worms in Four Winds.
Thank you junior troop 58225!
The junior troop 58225 had a great time doing some maintenance in the GVS woods. They worked on the trail that connects from the bridge in the parking lot to the lower woods and the outdoor classroom. They also hid some very cool rocks along the trail too!

Become a GVS Math Maverick!
There is still plenty of math fun to be had in this year's Math Mavericks Challenge, where students have the opportunity to challenge themselves with a variety of grade-level appropriate math problems, and win prizes, such as an ice-cream party!
The program runs through April 24, 2026. Every two weeks, a new set of problems is available. Please find the current math challenge attached, or hardcopies are available by the front office. The current challenge is due by noon on November 7, 2025.
For more information and to see a list of last year's winners, check here. For questions, please contact our math interventionist, Ms. Sam Hutchins, at shutchins@gvshawks.org.
Photo retake day!
Photo retake day is Monday, November 3. The photographers will only be here for an hour or so, so make sure your student is at school first thing that morning if you plan to have your child's photo retaken. Please notify the office and your child's teacher if your student will participate in retake day.
If you preordered photos and want a retake, please send your photos back to school with your student so that we may return them to the photographers. Pre-Ordered photos have not yet been delivered to the school and will arrive prior to retake day.
