Principal's Message
Hello Panther Families,
I hope you had an enjoyable and restful summer! I would like to welcome everyone to the 2025-2026 school year. The Panther staff is looking forward to another amazing school year. We will continue to work as a team to create an inclusive positive learning environment for all students. Our focus this school year will be Rigorous Learning For All, focused particularly in math and writing.
Join us on Monday, July 21 from 3:00-5:30pm for our Roster Reveal. At 3:00pm, families are invited to join us in the school auditorium for staff introductions. Afterwards, we will have our Roster Reveal and PTA will be selling school merch. Families will be able to see who their child's teacher will be this school year.
*As a reminder, no class changes will be made for the first two weeks of school. Also, for the first two weeks of school we will not permit volunteers on campus as we want to ensure our students adjust to their new classroom environment. We thank you for your understanding.
Don't forget on Fridays we show our Panther Pride spirit and wear green and/or spirit gear!
The first day of school will be Wednesday, July 23rd, it will be a minimum day for all grades.
Don't forget, every Friday is minimum day!
For great news and information, be sure to follow our school website. Messages will be sent out via Finalsite, a new communication that will be used by all schools in our district.
I look forward to making this another amazing year with our Panthers and their families!

Helpful Reminders:
What does my child need to bring to school?
Your child should bring a backpack and snack and lunch (optional). School breakfast and lunch will be free this school year.
Parking...
*The first two weeks of school tend to have heavy traffic. If you are able to, it would be preferable if you walked your child to school.
*Please do not park in the top parking lot in front of the office during morning drop-off and after school pick up. Parking is reserved for staff, buses, and our SDC Extensive Support Needs students.
*You may use the lower parking lot that can be accessed via East Palomar Street, you can also park on Juniper Street and walk your child into the school.
Can I change my child's teacher?
Please note that no class changes will be made, except to correct an error, the first two weeks of school. After this time frame you may pick up a form from the front office requesting a class change, however that does not guarantee a class change.
Morning Line Up:
On the first day of school students will go directly to their classes at 8:45am.
Beginning on Thursday, July 24th, ALL students (TK - 6th) will be lining up in the auditorium. Each class has been designated a cone with their room number. Students will sit down behind their cone quietly and read a book, if possible, while they wait in line. Our focus is to keep students safe and prevent them from getting hurt, therefore there is no running around or playing games. Playing on the play structure before or after school is not permitted. Younger siblings/friends are also to follow the same expectations.
For student and staff safety, parents/family members are not permitted inside the school building. Once you drop off your child you will need to walk around the school to exit the campus. The same will apply for the afternoon pick up. Should you need to go inside the school, please check in with the front office to sign-in and receive a visitor's pass. All unknown individuals without a visitor's badge will be asked to sign-in or leave the campus.
Parent and Student Handbook
Please ensure to read through the Parent and Student Handbook that your child will on the first day of school. Many of your questions will be answered by the handbook.
Cell Phones/iWatch:
For safety purposes, the expectation is all cell phones and electronic devices are to be turned off and in the student's backpack the moment they step foot on campus. Students must have a cell phone/iWatch contract agreement signed by parents in order to have a cell phone on campus.
