Lions in Action!
What an exciting week for Lincoln Athletics! Our 7/8 Girls Basketball Team advanced by defeating our crosstown friends from JAMS, but their season came to an end on Friday. We’re so proud of their effort and determination!
Our 7/8 Boys Red Team was eliminated from playoff contention, while both 6th Grade Girls and Boys Basketball Teams wrapped up their seasons with their final games. A huge shoutout to all our athletes for their hard work and dedication this season!
We still have one team left in the playoffs—our 7/8 Boys Black Team—so let’s cheer them on as they continue their journey!
In soccer news, our season kicked off this week with the 7/8 Girls Soccer Team dominating against LACES with an impressive 6-0 victory! Meanwhile, our 7/8 Boys Soccer Team played hard but came up just short against Beverly Vista, falling 3-2.
Congratulations to all our athletes and coaches for representing Lincoln with pride and sportsmanship! Go Lions! 🦁🏀⚽
Lions Leading- Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices!
Thank you!
Shoutout to Mr. Bandy for his amazing use of culturally responsive teaching! To build connections and get to know his students better, Mr. Bandy had them create a collage of images representing what they like, dislike, and the languages they speak.
This thoughtful strategy not only honors students’ diverse backgrounds but also empowers them to share their identities and interests in a creative way. Thank you, Mr. Bandy, for fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment in your classroom!
Keep up the great work!
