Daniel Feeney Preschool Update
June 8, 2025
Dear Families,
As we head into the final week of school, it’s hard to believe how quickly this year has flown by! It has been a joy and a privilege to watch your children grow, learn, and thrive each day. While the end of the year brings excitement, it can also bring big feelings for our little learners. Changes in routine, saying goodbye to teachers and friends, and anticipating new adventures can feel overwhelming at times.
In this final stretch, we will continue to focus on learning, having fun, and maintaining the routines and structure that help our students feel safe and supported. We are savoring these special moments together and celebrating all the progress each child has made.
Thank you for your continued partnership—we are so proud of everything our students have accomplished this year.
Warmest regards,
Julie

Medication Pick Up - Please Read
Medication pick up:
Please plan on picking up your child's medication the week of 6/9 between 9:30-2:30pm or on the last day of school (June 13th) until 12pm. The health office has stock Epi-Pens in the event of an emergency.
****If you have a grade 5 student, you will not be able to pick up their medication until 6/11 due to the Grade 5 Field Day on 6/10.
Unfortunately, I am unable to send home medication with your student and we are unable to store medication over the summer.
As a reminder, your child will need updated medication orders for the 2025-26 school year that are dated after 06/30/2025. I will reach out to you prior to the start of the school year with availability to drop off new orders and their medication(s).
Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns or need a different accommodation for pick up (ie if your child attends extended day AM/PM).

If you are looking for a fun, accessible outing, head to Waltham
The grounds of what was the Fernald School in Waltham, MA is now home to an almost 50 acre fully accessible playground for people with all abilities. It is one of the largest universal playgrounds on the east coast. As someone who grew up there, I will say Waltham is a great city and it is not too far away!
If your child is returning to DFP in the Fall of 2025
If your child is returning to DFP for the 2025-2026 school year, you will be notified of your child's teacher in late July/Early August.
