Good People,

In the last week our teachers have had visits from both the new Science and Math Curriculum providers. We are in year two of this new curriculum and it is going really well because our teachers bring it to life! It is important to highlight and celebrate our teachers hard work. We saw WIN time interventions, differentiation, strong relationships, International Baccalaureate Inquiry-Based Collaborative Student Projects, student led groups and strong classroom management.

Additionally, Teachers met this week to review placements in both our intervention classes and WIN groupings for reading and math. So we are currently working on some schedule changes for quarter 2. Some students will have some schedule changes to help balance our schedules. We are also adding a couple special education classes for quarter 2. As such, all students will receive new schedules and you can encourage them to look at Infinite Campus for updates as well.

Winter Sports Registration Is Now Open!

Winter sports season is almost here, and registration is officially open! Caregivers can sign up online through the Sanford website under Winter Athletics(see link below).

Tryout Schedule:

Girls’ Tryouts: Monday (3rd) & Wednesday (5th) next week | 3:30–5:00 PM
Boys’ Tryouts: Thursday & Friday (next week 6th & 7th)| 3:30–5:30 PM

Athletes are expected to attend both days of tryouts.

Important Details:

You must be registered before participating in tryouts.
Payment is not due until after tryouts and team selections are finalized.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual fundraiser - Sanford Night Out! With your help, we were able raise over $14,000 that will benefit our school community.

November 10th is Sanford Night at the Bull's Horn! They will be donating 20% of all Dine In orders back to Sanford. Gather your friends and have a fun night out to support the school!

Our next meeting is November 18th from 6:00p-7:30p in the media center at Sanford. Enter through the main entrance - Door 12. All are welcome!
