Family STEM Night
The evening of Sept. 24 was Franklin's inaugural Family STEM Activity Night. For those who aren't exactly sure what STEM is, you can check out the article linked below for an explanation of the acronym, as well as information around why it's so important for kids to engage in STEM learning and activities. This family event at Franklin was very well attended, and the kids and adults all seemed to enjoy the STEM-themed stations. There were ample amounts of joy, curiosity, and excitement on display. A special thanks goes out to Mrs. Lewis, our STEM teacher, for planning and organizing the experience, as well as the MSU students, and Mrs. Landgraff, who came to help run the stations during the event. Below are a few images from the evening.
Fall Carnival
The Franklin Fall Carnival on Oct. 1 was another successful family event. The weather was beautiful, the kids were filled with excitement, and the MSU Education Students who planned and executed the event, with help of our fabulous PTO, were thrilled with the turnout. All in all it was another great example of our Franklin Family coming together to celebrate and have a little fun.
