What a great first week we had! The students were excited to be back and are already exhibiting what it means to be Studley Stars. We strive to create a culture of respect, responsibility and safety. We believe in teaching all our students how to engage in this way. Be sure to check in and see if your child got caught demonstrating these qualities! I have enjoyed visiting students in their classes to welcome them back!

Last week, we had our first fire drill. All students and staff were able to exit the building quickly and quietly and returned to the building within minutes. It didn't hurt that it was a beautiful day, so a few extra minutes outside was a pretty great way to end the week!

This week, we welcome our new Kindergarteners. Please be patient as we add in a new batch of students and families.

FIRST DAY - Wednesday!

Thank you to our PTO for putting on a wonderful event to kick off the school year! So many families came, and it was great to see you. It is always fun to see the kids having so much fun being kids. I appreciate all the effort that went into making this event such a success! You all help make our school community a special one.

Thank you to everyone for your cooperation last week during the car drop off and pick up loop! You help streamline the process and keep it running smoothly.

Please review the reminders below. Remember, safety for all is our number one priority:

• Stay in your vehicle.
• Pay attention to the staff giving directions.
• Please do not use your cellphone while entering the loop.
• Once you enter the loop, drive all the way up so we can load as many students at once. This means you may drive by your child. They will come to you.
• Place the provided colored name tag in the front passenger side, so we can easily identify your child.

If you have extra LEGOs around - please consider donating them to our Makerspace! Fill a quart sized bag and label it with your child's name. Each bag will enter you to win!

As we start a new year, it is critical to get into a strong routine with attendance. This includes arriving to school on time. Any student arriving at 8:45 or later will be marked tardy. Students will need to be buzzed in by the front office and walked in by an adult. We appreciate your cooperation with this!

We need a plan for each student. If you have not filled one out (either paper or online), please do as soon as you can.

2023-2024 Student Dismissal Plan

Please consider coming to our PTO meetings, which will be held one Wednesday a month at 6:00PM in the Studley library. At these meetings, you will learn more about the group and how to become involved! More information to follow, but we need you and your voice to make us better.
