Happy Eid al-Fitr. To those who celebrate Ramadan!
Zima Creason, the Board Member who represents Area 3, stopped by this month for a tour of our campus. While she visited the classrooms, she enjoyed seeing the quail that Amanda Morgan's room hatched. Zima is very approachable and supportive of our school. If you ever wanted to reach out to her, her email is zima.creason@sanjuan.edu.
We want to thank those of you who came to the Candyland Dance! We had a really great time dancing with you and Ralphie! El Camino Leadership Team and our PTA did an amazing job hosting this fun event! The students, staff, parents, and guardians enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, chips, and dessert. Nick Bloise, a Board Member for Area 4, also dropped in to enjoy the festivities. Thank you to Subway, Honey Baked Ham, Flapjacks, Hair by Erin, Swim So Brite Pool Tile Cleaning, the West Wind Drive-In, and Chili Smith who also supported our dance with raffle prizes. Please continue to support these businesses to show our appreciation.
School Site Council
We would like you to use the School Site Council Ballot to vote for a member to represent our parents, guardians, and community members. Please vote for the person listed or nominate someone who you think would be a good representative, using this link.
You Light the Way Awards
Congratulations to our PTA Members: Monique Moraga, Jim Moraga, and Sarah Medal who were honored at the You Light the Way Ceremony on April 3.
May 22 Open House
We will be serving dinner to our families. We will also be having a silent auction to raise funds for our wonderful school. If you would like to donate an item to the auction, or the company/business that you work for would like to make a donation, we are considered a non-profit organization and you can get a tax write-off. We have donation letters that we would be happy to share with you.
Down the Rabbit Hole
It happens to be Library Month, we are proud to say, books will be coming home in the next two weeks. If you haven't returned your permission slip, or need a new slip, please email your teacher. Books will be going to/from school in these bags that Room 21 created for us. Thank you! If you happen to have any books that your children have outgrown, we would love to have them donated to our library.
