Building Together - Parent Connections Events at St. Luke's
At St. Luke’s Episcopal School, we believe that education is a partnership—one built on trust, transparency, and shared purpose between our school and our families. That’s why our Parent Connections events are such an important part of our community life. These gatherings offer more than just information; they’re opportunities to come together, ask questions, share insights, and strengthen the bond that helps our students thrive.
This fall, we’re thrilled to offer a series of Parent Connections events designed to inform, inspire, and invite you into the heart of what’s happening at SLES.
Our next event is just around the corner—Monday, September 30 at 8:30 a.m. in the Parlor. Join us for “Innovation at SLES: Introducing the St. Luke’s Innovation Team,” featuring Catherine Perkins, our Teacher & Innovation Coordinator. Mrs.Perkins will share how innovation is shaping learning across all grades, and how this team is helping position St. Luke’s at the forefront of 21st-century education.
Looking ahead, we’ll continue the conversation with two more important sessions:
-
November 4 – A deep dive into standardized testing and its role within the St. Luke’s approach to assessment.
-
December 2 – A follow-up on our accreditation process, including key takeaways and what’s next for our school.
And while these fall events will keep us connected and informed, we’re especially excited to announce a major evening event in the new year. Mark your calendars for Friday, January 23, when we welcome renowned speakers David Thomas and Sissy Goff to campus. As nationally respected voices on parenting and child development, David and Sissy bring a wealth of wisdom, humor, and practical advice for raising children with resilience and heart. This promises to be a powerful night for our entire community.
You can find all these events—and more—on the St. Luke’s Episcopal School calendar.
We hope to see you there, because when parents and school come together, great things happen.

Grandparent & Special Friend Lunches Are Back!
We are excited to invite Grandparents and Special Friends to have lunch with their grandchild/special friend at St. Luke's! Our first lunch on Friday was a huge success — thank you to everyone who participated and helped make it a special day!
There is one date left in September: Tuesday, September 23rd. More dates will be available each month, so stay tuned!
In order to join students for lunch, grandparents and special friends must sign up here. Please note that there are a limited number of sign-ups per grade. St. Luke's LIVE! - Saturday, September 27 - TICKETS NOW ON SALE
Please join St. Luke's Church for St. Luke's LIVE! An annual fundraiser hosted by St. Luke's Church on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Each year, the St. Luke's Church community comes together at the St. Luke's LIVE event to raise funds for the Church and its ministries. The designated 2025 ministry beneficiary for St. Luke's LIVE is the "Rebuild & Renew" Renovation Project, which will refresh and modernize the church parlors, kitchenette, and construct larger, more accessible Parlor restrooms. These sacred spaces have served the church well for decades - but they need renewal. With your help, SLEC will create a warm, welcoming, and fully accessible environment that reflects the hospitality, dignity, and love they extend to everyone who walks through their doors. This is an investment in the present and future of our church home.
