Could you tell us about your background experience before you came to D75/D120?
Before I came to Mundelein D75/D120, I worked at a small, Catholic grammar school in Lake Villa. I was the Administrative Assistant to the Principal during the previous 8 years while my children attended school there.
How do you balance supporting multiple curriculum departments?
Balancing the departments was initially an adjustment, but as I gained a deeper understanding of each department’s unique working style, I adapted quickly. I am highly patient and organized, maintaining flexibility while prioritizing tasks effectively. By setting clear timelines, I ensure that all tasks stay on schedule. Additionally, I foster open communication to proactively address each department’s needs.
What systems or tools have you adopted that help you stay on top of diverse curriculum support needs?
Google Workspace keeps me organized with all my day to day tasks.
What personal strengths do you draw upon when faced with complex projects?
Staying organized, setting priorities, and establishing timelines allows me to complete my days without feeling overwhelmed.
How have you grown professionally through the experience of supporting the curriculum teams simultaneously?
Supporting both districts has helped me grow professionally, particularly in communication. I am confident in engaging with all departments, unafraid to ask questions for clarity, and adaptable to various work styles.
What has been your most rewarding experience in working with teams in both districts?
Over the past two years, the most rewarding part of supporting both districts has been building relationships with my co-workers. Working across PreK-12th grade, I’ve experienced the unique support needs at each level, and I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with an amazing and supportive team.
