Volunteering
The Village Project Is looking for You!
The Village Project, Inc. (TVPI) was founded to meet the needs of the underserved African-American community. We now provide services and advocate for the Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) and the LGBTQ+ community. We provide vulnerable adults, children, and families from historically underserved communities in Monterey County with culturally appropriate mental health services, educational support, and social advocacy so that they can become self-sufficient, self-directed, and self-determining members of the community. Volunteer today!
California State Parks
Year round:
Volunteers are vital to Californiaโs State Parks. The first volunteers served over 100 years ago and worked hard to preserve our most treasured places and teach the public about their value. Today, the program has grown to over 27,000 volunteers who donated over 780,000 hours of time in 2023. They assist staff in countless ways, in nearly all of California's State Parks. Please consider volunteering today and be the difference in your parks tomorrow!
Monterey Public Libraries
Year round:
"The Volunteer Program connects the public to the City of Monterey through active volunteer participation with City programs and projects, resulting in a strong partnership between the community and the City to support a safe and enriched quality of life for everyone."
