It is with great anticipation and excitement that I announce the restructuring of our Academic Awards Program this year! After navigating the challenges and logistics of two separate awards events, we will be combining our 10-12th grade Academic Awards, and Senior Honors Assembly into one program. We are excited to celebrate the beginning, as well as the end of our students' outstanding academic achievements.

The Academic Awards Program will take place on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 beginning at 6:00 pm in the LHS Auditorium. The program will recognize the hard work and dedication that our students have demonstrated throughout their academic careers. It is our hope that this combined Academic Awards Program will become a cornerstone of our students academic achievements, and a tradition that future students will strive to attain.

We look forward to sharing in the joy of success, and fostering the spirit of academic excellence that have always been at the heart of Linden High School. Your presence will make the event even more special.

Further program details will be shared in the near future. Thank you for your continued support, we are eager to celebrate our students' success.

School Attendance Policy:

It is imperative that students be in attendance each school day in order not to miss a significant portion of their education. Many important learnings result from active participation in classroom and other school activities which cannot be replaced by individual study.

Attendance is important in the development of a high quality work ethic which will be a significant factor in a student’s success in the classroom, providing a foundation for students post-secondary experience, and with future employers. Arguably, one of the most important characteristics consistent attendance creates is work habits, and dependability. This is a habit the LHS wants to help students develop as early as possible in their school careers.

  • ALL absences MUST be reported to the school in writing by a parent. Absences MUST be reported within 48 hours from the day the student returns to school. Excuse notes received after 48 hours WILL NOT excuse the absence. Absences NOT calculated in the absence procedure include:

    • Suspensions by school administrator

    • School related absences

    • Absences due to a death in the immediate family

    • Medical appointments with documentation

    • Court appointments with documentation

    • College visits (2 per semester).

    • Missing 11 or more minutes of a class constitutes an absence.

Linden High School does NOT accept phone calls. We accept written emails or a note from a parent
