GRAMMAR GAZETTE
September 2025 Edition

Thursday, October 9, 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the month of October! The leaves are slowly starting to change and I look forward to the cooler air and vibrant colors. We have several special events coming up this month, and we would love for you to be a part of them. I want to congratulate our Virtue Shout Out students who were celebrated at our Virtue Assembly on Fortitude this past Tuesday. New this year, students can wear spirit wear on top during Virtue Assemblies but will need to be in Uniform bottoms. Moving forward, this will be the expectation. The Virtue Assembly calendar is posted below. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend! Note that our November assembly is 9:00-9:30 AM, Tuesday, November 4.
We had an overwhelming interest in our Grandparents and Special Persons Day next Wednesday, October 15. Nova Classical Academy is pleased to invite the special people in our students' lives so that they can experience the unique nature of our learning community. Please note that we are only able to accommodate guests who registered before the form closed on 10/3. If you were unable to register for this year's event, we encourage you to attend next year!
Our NPTO hosted the Great Gatherings Kick Off on September 27, which included a silent auction. We still have items open to bid on including Pizza and Movie with Mrs. Farrell on Thursday, November 20, for students in grades 2-5. Considering bidding here!
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Please read ahead for important highlights for the month.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Farrell

Unity Day - Wednesday, October 22
We will celebrate Unity Day on Wednesday, October 22. Students can wear orange on top and Nova uniform on the bottom. Unity Day is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month. This is a day we can come together to send a visible message of building through justice, temperance, and prudence. The call to action is simple: wear and share the color orange. Started by PACER in 2011, this statement becomes a conversation starter, showing support for students who have been bullied and for bullying prevention. Our students will be participating in activities this day to confirm their commitment to standing up against bullying.
MN Classical Education Conference (MCEC) Parent Night - Wednesday, October 15
Please visit the MN Classical Education Conference website to learn more about and be sure to RSVP for the event on Wednesday, October 15, from 6:00-7:30 PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis Airport.
The keynote speaker is Andrew Pudewa, the founder and director of the Institute for Excellence in Writing. He will be sharing humorous experiences and painful lessons he has learned in his session "However Imperfectly: Lessons Learned from Thirty Years of Teaching". We are lifelong learners raising lifelong learners, and supporting the development of that skill is vital for our students' academic journey. Participants will leave with a fresh perspective on writing and its role in a child's education.
