What is your role at Kings Road School?
I am a third grade teacher!
What are your qualifications to serve in your role?
This is my 8th year teaching, but my first year at KRS! Before joining KRS, I taught 5th and 6th grade math in Newark Public Schools. I later became a math coach for the district during my last two years there. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in math and science from Rowan University.
What do you like about Kings Road School?
I love how welcoming and helpful everyone has been as I started this year. I also enjoy seeing the students learn and getting to know about their interests and hobbies!
What is your favorite book?
My favorite book/series would be any Harry Potter book. My 1st grade teacher read them aloud to us at the end of each day, which fostered my love for the series. In the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to visit King's Cross Station in London for Harry Potter's 20th anniversary and I was even interviewed by a British news station!
What do you like to do when you are not at Kings Road School?
When I'm not at KRS, you can find me playing with my one-year-old daughter, Luciana, at home or in the park. I enjoy spending weekend getaways in LBI with family and friends. I also love going to Yankee games or watching them on TV with my husband.
