Looking Ahead
Dear 6th Grade Parents,
State law requires that all students entering 7th grade in the State of Texas have the following immunizations (as well as those previously required for school entry):
Tdap (tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis) Booster
MCV4 (meningitis) 1 dose (given between 11-12 years old)
All immunization records must be validated (signed or stamped) by a public health clinic or physician licensed to practice in the U.S.A. If your child has already had these immunizations, please bring copies of these records to the ARMS front office or send them to Mallory.Hollingsworth@humbleISD.net as soon as possible. Do not assume that we have their updated record on file. If your child still needs to receive these immunizations, please do not wait until late summer as appointments become very difficult to obtain.
We will have an immunization clinic at Woodcreek Middle School in May - additional details will be released in the coming weeks.
-If your child has seasonal asthma and requires an inhaler, medical documentation is required. Please complete the Asthma Packet and return it to Nurse Mallory by hand delivery, Email: mhollin@humbleisd.net or Fax: 281-641-8617

Birthday Announcements
Traffic Flow
Please review this GIF for an overview of how traffic will flow during arrival and dismissal. Students will be allowed to enter the building at 7:50 a.m. (Late Arrival Days: 9:30 a.m.). Dismissal will begin at 4:00 p.m. each day.
CAR RIDER LOOP / WALKERS
For the safety of our students, please do not move our parking cones in any area that is placed to direct traffic. Our traffic signage is expected to be completed soon. Just a few reminders for safety…
1 - The front car rider loop is a “ONE WAY” at all times. Please do not exit the front parking lot, turning right. It is a “left turn” only to follow the car rider loop. Our car rider loop is a double-stacking lane in one direction at all times. “ONE WAY” signs will be posted soon!
2 - The stop sign in the curve of the car rider line was placed there on accident. You may disregard this sign and continue to proceed around the car rider loop to help continue to flow of drop-offs/pick-ups. Please be patient and kind as you merge into one lane in the car rider loop.
3 - Do not drive through cones in the parking lot. We have had to replace several cones that have been destroyed by cars running over them.
4 - In the car rider loop, please encourage your child to be ready to “unload” as soon as your car stops in front of the school (Under the awning area). This helps us move the line faster, get you through the car rider loops faster, and get kids in the building on time. We appreciate you for always “pulling all the way down” before you stop! The thumbs up, smiles, and waves are all in appreciation!!!
If your child is a walker, remind them to proceed home as soon as they are dismissed. We have too many students that are hanging out in front of the school/on campus that should be leaving the campus when they are dismissed. Students found not leaving the campus immediately will receive consequences.
