Alvarado ELAC
What is ELAC? Que Es ELAC?
Hello Parents! The next DELAC Meeting will be taking place on 3/3/26 and 3/31/26 at Browning. For more details please visit: https://www.lbschools.net/departments/curriculum/curriculum-services/english-learner-services/delac
English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)
Each school with 21 or more English learners, regardless of language, must form a functioning English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is an important committee comprised of parents of English Language learners that provides input and makes recommendations to the site’s principal and staff on programs and services for English learners. ELAC must also make recommendations to the School Site Council on developing the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) as it relates to programs and services for English Language Learners. The ELAC also is a great way to inform parents about school processes, strategies to increase students’ academic performance, home/school communications, testing, becoming involved in the life of the school, and developing leadership skills.
