Dear Parker Elementary School Families,

Welcome back, Parker Families! We hope you had a wonderful Winter Break. Whether your time away was filled with travel and adventure, moments with family, reading a great book, or simply enjoying the peace of relaxing at home, we hope you found something that brought you joy and refreshed you. We are excited to see our students’ faces back at school this week.

To kick off the new year, we invite you to join us this Wednesday, January 7th, at 6:30 pm for our Math Night! This is a completely free event for the entire family to enjoy. Details are included below, and we hope you’ll join us for an evening of fun and engaging activities. It’s the perfect way to spend a cold winter night together as a community.

I am happy to announce that Parker has once again partnered with Smile Massachusetts to provide in-school dental care on Thursday February 5 2026. The Smile Massachusetts dental program saves you time and provides a safe and comfortable place for students to receive gentle dental care from licensed local professionals. The dental care includes a complete dental exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride and sealants when necessary,and in some cases, restorative care such as fillings.There may be no cost to you if your child is insured with MassHealth or Children’s Medical Security Plan. Private insurance and self-pay options are also available. Simply go to My School Dentist to sign up your child TODAY or fill out the permission form that will be coming home with your child in the next week.

I wanted to share our Spring MCAS testing schedule with you now so that you can plan ahead and avoid scheduling appointments, vacations, or other activities on these date, if possible. Ensuring students are present, well-rested, and ready for the assessments makes a big difference.

We recognize that things do come up, but your help in avoiding planned absences on testing days is greatly appreciated. If your child has an unavoidable appointment or absence, please let us know.
