WELCOME to the FAME Academy Spotlight newsletter! Each month we will feature RRHS FAME Academy teachers/students, their work, their accomplishments, and their goals! We will also share information about FAME events and other Academy announcements!

RRMS and RRHS FAME are excited to be growing! During the 2022-2023 school year, we will begin offering an Orchestra program! For right now it will be offered to students who will be in 6th-10th grade and will be offered as a combined class while it grows!

Students do NOT have to have any experience with stringed instruments to take this course! We are excited about our FAME growth and musical opportunities for our Royals!

Congratulations to all of our FAME dancers who performed in the last two productions at Richey Suncoast Theater! We had middle school and high school students in the performances of Elf Jr and Nutcracker!

Our visual art students and National Art Honor Society painted wooden nutcrackers that are now up for auction! The Theater is donating back 50% of the profits for a FAME Scholarship that will be awarded to a senior at the end of the year!

Place your bids now - the auction closes on Friday!

ALL of our dancers did an excellent job at the winter showcase! All middle school and high school students come together for this event and did a fabulous job! The 5:00pm show was sold out and the theater was packed! Mr. Carlson was able to capture some of our dancers in action and created a photo album - the link is below!

We are in the planning stages of a Spring Gala that will feature our FAME students! There will be art work on display and possibly for sale, as well as performances from our theater, dance, and Royal Sound groups! This event will be open to the community and hosted at Richey Suncoast Theater. Proceeds from this event will come back to the RRHS FAME program!

We are working on a final date for this gala and will announce more details soon!

This past weekend, our Thespian Troupe competed in the District 14 Festival! Lead by David O'Hara, our troupe came home with 6 Critic's Choice Awards (more than any other school represented in district 14) and 17 Superior Ratings!
