Note from Mrs. Sturdivant
As testing season approaches, we emphasize the crucial role of regular attendance in your child's academic success. Consistent presence in school ensures your child doesn't miss vital instruction and preparation for upcoming assessments, which are key to understanding their progress and needs.
Missing school can significantly impact learning, particularly during this critical period. We understand unavoidable absences happen, but encourage your child to be in school as much as possible to maximize their learning opportunities.
To support your child's success, please ensure they have a consistent routine, adequate sleep, and a healthy breakfast. These factors greatly contribute to their ability to perform well in school.
If you have concerns about attendance or need support, please contact us. Together, we can ensure your child achieves their full potential.

Nurse's Note - March 2024
March is National Nutrition Month! Nutrition impacts a child’s physical growth as well as brain development. A child with proper nutrition is often able to maintain a healthy weight, perform well in school, as well as have a decreased risk of illness and disease. Rising cost of groceries, busy lifestyles, and many other things can have an impact on meeting our daily nutritional needs. Below are some great resources from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and healthychildren.org that may help!

What’s Growing On in the CLES Garden
We’ve had a busy few weeks in the CLE garden!
Our very own 3rd and 4th grade students started seeds for the upcoming plant sale. Be watching the progress as those plants grow inside our school.
1st and 2nd grade students had the opportunity for a lesson in the garden with Faulkner County Extension Agent Ms. Krista Quinn. We also planted peas, potatoes, greens, and onions, YUM! We could not have done it without all our wonderful garden volunteers! Thank you!
Our next lesson, April 4th, will be with our Kindergarten students. Also, be watching for more information about our upcoming plant sale, April 11th & 12th, as well as our spring t-shirt fundraiser. As always, please Email Jill with any questions! jillsteed2015@gmail.com
