ORATIA SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

"Kōrero mai, e te whānau - have your say!

We'd like to invite all our whānau to come along to our Whānau Hui. It's an opportunity for you to see our kapa haka perform, enjoy some kai, and let us know your thoughts on how we can continue to deliver excellent opportunities for our ākonga Māori. We'd love to hear what we're doing well, what we could be doing better, and any new ideas you'd like to see us try. This year's Whānau Hui will be held in the school hall at 6pm, Tuesday 22nd September. Save the date!"

Starting School in 2027?

If your child, or a child you know, is in our school zone and starting school in 2027, please let us know. This information is really helpful as we plan for the year ahead and make sure we have the right resources and staffing in place.

Please contact the school office with the child’s name, date of birth and intended start date, and we can provide you with the enrolment information.

Thank you for helping us with our planning!

Do you have any good quality sandpit toys that you would like to donate to our junior school sandpit? If so, please pass these on to Mrs Mills or Mrs Jackson in Rooms 6/7. Thank you.

Our thoughts and sympathy are with the family of Val Lyon, our former Oratia School secretary of 30 years, following her passing. She will always be fondly remembered by our school community.
