MLC Through The Month
September MLC Recap
What a way to kick off the school year! September was full of energy as we welcomed both familiar and new faces into our MLC family. It’s been so fun watching everyone settle in and dive right into clubs and activities! Kids had a blast playing RISK, battling it out as different countries while secretly brushing up on history. Steal-a-Brainrot quickly became a crowd favorite, with everyone cracking up as they tried to steal each other’s “brainrot.” Our team-building Hula Hoop Race got kids working in pairs—one blindfolded, one guiding—and cheering each other on as they raced their way through hoops. Of course, we balanced all that excitement with some calmer choices too. From creating nature art and hunting for leaves, to sketching self-portraits and playing a few classic rounds of UNO, there was something for everyone to enjoy. September set the tone for an amazing year ahead—we can’t wait to see what October brings!
MLC KID AND STAFF HIGHLIGHTS
We are excited to announce our September Kid and Staff nominees: Londyn and Isaiah
Londyn comes to Mystic every day with a big smile and a great attitude. She’s always ready to jump into activities, help out her friends, and brings fun energy wherever she goes. Her kindness and positivity brighten up the space for everyone around her!
Isaiah, our senior staff member, consistently goes above and beyond. He connects so well with the kids, always brings a calm and friendly presence, and leads with kindness and patience. Isaah is a huge asset to our team, and we’re so grateful for his dedication.

MELC Through The Month
September MELC Recap
What a month September has been, we are finally back in school and we are loving it. Our teachers are so nice and we have not gotten a lot of homework yet but we are prepared for some. We have been practicing our reading and writing skills all summer long! Some of our favorite choices this month were; Chess club, Bracelet Club, Science Club and of course Fun Fridays in the lab. We are excited for the leaves to start falling and the weather to cool down. Also ready for all the holidays that will come up in the next few months like Halloween Thanksgiving and especially CHRISTMAS!!!
MELC KID AND STAFF HIGHLIGHTS
Congratulations to September’s Staff and Kid Super Stars: Aniana & Anthony
Aniana has kicked off the school year as a true leader in every sense. As a senior staff member, she sets the tone with her professionalism, creativity, and calm, confident presence. Whether she’s running a themed activity or supporting her team, Aniana leads with intention and care. She knows her group well and brings out the best in the kids and staff around her. We’re lucky to have her guiding the way as we start another great year at MELC!
Anthony is off to a fantastic start this school year! He’s come in with great energy, a positive attitude, and a willingness to jump into every activity. He’s especially supportive with his Little Mystic friends, always ready to lend a helping hand and spread kindness. Anthony sets an example with his enthusiasm and respectful attitude—we’re so proud of the way he’s started this fall and can’t wait to see how he continues to grow!

Recap of September Community Events
Our MLC Family Apple Picking Event was such an amazing time! Families and staff came together to enjoy a beautiful fall day filled with laughter, friendship, and plenty of apples. From wagon rides to exploring the orchard, it was a chance to slow down, connect, and celebrate the season with one another. A huge thank you to Applecrest Farm Orchards for hosting us and to SHA for collaborating with us to make this tradition possible. Events like this remind us of the importance of community and the joy that comes from creating lasting memories together. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special—we can’t wait to continue this tradition in the years to come!
