Dear HLA Families,

September has been filled with energy, learning, and community spirit! We are proud of how our students are engaging in their classes and living out our IRISE values - Integrity, Responsibility, Innovation, Service, and Empathy. Here’s a look back at recent highlights and a preview of what’s coming up.

• School Begins: 8:00 AM
  Students should arrive on time and be ready to start the day.
  ⏰ Any student arriving after 8:00 AM will receive a tardy slip.

• School Ends: 3:40 PM (Monday–Thursday)
  Students must be picked up promptly after dismissal.

• Fridays – Early Dismissal: 12:55 PM
  Please ensure arrangements are made for early pickup on Fridays.

For the safety of our students and staff, all visitors must:

• Sign in at the front desk and receive a visitor badge before entering the building.

• Schedule an appointment in advance if you wish to meet with the Principal, Dean of Academics, Dean of Discipline, or a teacher.

👉 Please note: Visitors without an appointment will not be allowed beyond the front office. Thank you for helping us keep Horizon Leadership Academy a safe and secure learning environment.

On September 11, our school community paused to reflect on the significance of 9/11. Students learned about the importance of unity, resilience, and service to others.

Earlier this month, students, parents, and staff joined together for our annual Family Sports Day. From relay races to fun games, it was a joyful day of teamwork and school spirit.

Heading back to school is the perfect time to make sure students are up to date with their immunizations. Vaccines are essential to a healthy school year and help protect students from serious illnesses.
