The annual Southside Talent Show is this Friday, March 21. The show is held at the Southside Gym, and will begin at 8:45 a.m. We have many talented performers and we are looking forward to a great show!

The Spring Summative WYTOPP Assessment window is April 15 - May 2. It is important for our students to be in attendance on these days in order for our school to receive full credit for participation and for our students to show their growth this year! We encourage our students to get good rest, good nutrition, and a positive attitude to do their best on the WYTOPP! Look for more information from you student's teacher about actual testing days during the assessment window.

9:00-10:00

Grandparents are welcome to come to Southside and spend some time with their grandchildren in 1st grade. Classrooms will be available to visit from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

10:00-11:00

Grandparents will be released to make their way to Powell High School to get a parking place and a seat in the auditorium. We ask that you take your grandchild’s jacket and backpack with you at that time, as we will not have a place to keep it at the auditorium.

10:00 -- First graders will go to recess at 10:00, return to the classroom for a snack and prepare for the bus ride to Powell High School.

11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.

First Grade Grandparent’s Day Program. Everyone is invited to attend. Parents or Grandparents will take their first grader home with them after the program. If this is not possible, please make prior arrangements with your child’s teacher by calling 764-6183.
