This month’s focus is Respect. One way to think about Respect is “seeing value in all people and things & treating them with care.” Many people feel Respected in different ways and we hope this month inspires discussions with your family about what Respect means to you and how you can practice it.
ELA/Artes del Lenguaje Ingles
We will be continuing our first class novel this week called "Dragons in a Bag" by Zetta Elliott. Our first unit will be about the fantasy genre and students will be learning about the elements of plot. This will culminate in students writing their own narrative stories.
Esta semana continuaremos con nuestra primera novela de clase, "Dragones en una Bolsa", de Zetta Elliott. Nuestra primera unidad tratará sobre el género fantástico y los estudiantes aprenderán sobre los elementos de la trama. Esto culminará con la escritura de sus propias historias narrativas.
I do allow snacks in my classroom. I have instructed the students that so long as the snack isn't making a mess and isn't distracting others that they can eat a snack whenever they are hungry. We do have a few allergies in our classroom so I do ask that any snacks that you send with your child not contain nuts.
Permito refrigerios en mi clase. Les he dicho a los estudiantes que, siempre que no ensucien ni distraigan a los demás, pueden comerlos cuando tengan hambre. Tenemos algunas alergias en nuestra clase, así que les pido que los refrigerios que traigan con sus hijos no contengan frutos secos.
