Principal's Message Principal's Message

Dear LEMS Families,

As we head into November, the season of thanks, I want to recognize the parents and PTO members who make Lucile Erwin such a special place to learn and grow.

Our first dance of the year was a great success! More than 200 students came out for an evening of fun, friendship, and community. Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring the dance. A special thank-you also goes to the 18 parent volunteers who set up, chaperoned, sold concessions, and stayed to clean up afterward. Because you gave your time, our students had a safe and memorable night. You show our Wildcats every day what it means to be caring, and we're very grateful for you!

Help Us Welcome Future Wildcats - If you know families who may be interested in choice enrolling at Lucile Erwin for the 2027–2028 school year, please tell them about our LEMS Open House on Tuesday, November 10th, 5:30–7:00 p.m.

This event is for current 5th grade families interested in attending LEMS, and for any family considering choice enrollment options for next year. Our teachers, counselors, coaches, and student leaders will be here to share information about courses, curriculum, clubs, and athletics.

Our families are our best ambassadors, so thank you for spreading the word. We hope to meet many future Wildcats at this event!

With gratitude,

Jeanette Ryan
Principal

At Lucile Erwin Middle School, we believe in the power of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)! We love recognizing students who demonstrate our ROAR values: Resilient, Open-Minded, Accountable, and Responsible.

When students show their ROAR through positive behaviors and choices, they earn a ROAR ticket! These tickets can be redeemed for fun prizes at our ROAR Cart, generously run by our amazing PTO volunteers every Friday during lunch.

Our ROAR Cart is running low on goodies, and we would love your help restocking it!

Here’s how you can help:

  • Shop our Amazon Wishlist! Purchase items directly from the list or use it as a reference for the types of prizes our students love.

  • Volunteer at the ROAR Cart! Register as a TSD VITAL volunteer to help our PTO team during Friday lunches.

  • Get involved with PTO! Interested in learning more or getting involved? Email LEMSPTO4700@gmail.com to be added to the PTO mailing list.

Every donation and volunteer hour helps us celebrate positive choices, encourage our students, and keep the ROAR spirit alive at LEMS!

Thank you for supporting our Wildcats and helping us recognize students who show their ROAR!
