Monthly Club Meeting Topic - Phone Etiquette

Cell phones are a normal part of our everyday life. More children have cell phones, and at an earlier age, than ever before. According to statistics, 32% of all 9 year olds in the United States have a cell phone. That number increases to 91% for 14 year olds and 97% for 17 year olds. Teaching proper cell phone etiquette to young people has become more important throughout the years.

by Jasper Chauvin, Reporter

On December 12, 2024, the Vermillion 4-H Junior Leader Club had their 4th monthly meeting! At the meeting they collected peanut butter donations to make homemade dog treats as an activity in their meeting. Members of the Hebert family presented awards to Paityn Martin and Isaac Duhon who were the top two winners of the Personal Development Contest. The club learned about what it is like for a day in the life of a veterinarian from guest speaker, Dr. Dac Pourciau. They also heard from the National 4-H Congress delegates and learned about agriculture in Australia from a foreign exchange student. Cookies and hot cocoa were served as refreshments at the end of the meeting!
