Dear Strasburg Elementary Tribe,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Family Fitness Night. It was wonderful to see so many families together, staying active and earning house points. We are also looking forward to our upcoming Glow and Grow Read Night, which will be a fun and meaningful way to celebrate reading as a school community. Events like these reflect how strong our partnerships with families truly are.

Please be sure to check out our spring after-school activity offerings, as spots are filling quickly. These clubs provide great opportunities for students to explore interests, build skills, and connect with peers outside the school day. Thank you for your continued support, involvement, and communication. It truly makes a difference. We are grateful to partner with you in supporting your children each day.

Every time you attend an after-school event, you can earn a point for your house! Wear your house shirt and earn two points for your house! Your participation not only supports your classmates and school but also brings your House one step closer to victory. Check the school calendar for upcoming events and make your contribution count. Let’s see which House will take the lead this term!

We are anticipating celebrating our 100th Day of School on Tuesday, February 18th, as long as we do not have any weather-related school closures before then.

To celebrate, we invite students and staff to dress up for the 100th Day of School! Get creative—dress like you’re 100 years old, wear something with 100 items, or show off your school spirit in a fun way.

The Importance of Arriving on Time

We want to remind families how important it is for students to arrive at school on time each day.

When students are late, they miss important learning time, classroom routines, and opportunities to connect with their peers.

Starting the day on time helps students feel prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Thank you for your partnership in helping all of our students have a strong start to their school day!

Spelling Bee Buzz: Grades 3–5

The top 10 spellers from each grade level will compete in our building-wide Spelling Bee on Friday, February 13th.

From there, the top 3 spellers at the building level will move on to represent our school at the Regional Spelling Bee, which we are proud to host on Thursday, March 12th, competing against students from local schools.

We are looking forward to celebrating students’ hard work, perseverance, and love of words as the excitement builds over the coming weeks. Good luck to all of our spellers. We can’t wait to cheer you on!
