What we are Learning this week in 3rd Grade

Can you believe we are already in the 4th week of school. Time is already flying by. We are still assessing students in math and reading to determine how we can best meet each individuals needs. We are also starting to dive into curriculum.

Here are our week at a glance for 3rd grade.

Math- I can round numbers to the nearest 10 or 100 by debating if a number should be rounded up or down.

Reading- I can retell/paraphrase a story by reading and summarizing the LOL Story with a partner and evaluating their retell/paraphrasing of the story.

Writing- I can plan a draft for a personal narrative by drawing the beginning, middle, and end of my summer story.

Social Studies- I can describe Daniel Boones contribution to his community by creating a bubble map.

I can describe Christopher Columbuses contribution to his community by creating a KWL chart
