The Young Way
Week of March 24th-March 28th
Welcome to Decatur ISD, Mrs. Williams!
A Trip to the Outdoor Learning Center
Ms. Beville's Pre-K class had a blast on their first day back from Spring Break! They spent part of their afternoon at the Outdoor Learning Center, hunting for the perfect stick to make a caterpillar. They’re still diving into the life cycle of a butterfly, so it was the perfect hands-on learning experience. It was also so fun hearing all about the kids' spring break adventures during circle time! Can’t wait to see how our caterpillars (and learning) grow this week!
Show & Tell - Letter Review
Recess with Officer Trejo
Officer Trejo always takes time to talk to the kids, handout little prizes, or play some basketball. Here he is playing basketball with some of our kindergarten friends. We are blessed with the best.
Can Kinder catch the Leprechaun?
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
As Kindergarten wrapped up their weather unit, they transformed the classroom into a world of imagination with a 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' adventure! Students just finished exploring weather concepts learning about seasons, clouds, and different weather types such as rain, snow, and severe weather.
Baby Chicks
Our first grade students were excited to have their baby chicks hatch before Spring Break! They were so happy when they finally got to hold them and see how cute they were. The kids loved every step of this science lesson. It was definitely a highlight of first grade.
Lunch on the Patio
Mrs. Jacobsen's class enjoyed the beautiful day and had lunch outside.
Art with Mrs. H
Our fifth grade students have been busy preparing their Living Art Museum Boards during art. Make sure to join us the evening of Thursday, April 10th from 5:30-7:00 pm to see their finished product!
