Happy Friday, Mulberry Families!

We’ve officially wrapped up another fantastic week, and I want to extend a huge thank you for your patience during our afternoon dismissal. Thanks to everyone's cooperation and adherence to our traffic flow, our dismissal times have improved significantly over the past few days. Things are running much smoother and faster!

Curriculum Night – Thursday, August 20th Please mark your calendars for Curriculum Night next Thursday! This is a wonderful opportunity to step into your child’s classroom, meet their teachers, and gain insight into what a typical school day looks like. You'll hear about our academic goals, daily routines, and how we can work together to support your child's success this year.

• 5:30 - FOCUS Session in Cafeteria (for all non-DLI gifted families)

• 6:00 - Session 1 in Classrooms for ALL families

• 6:45 - Session 2 in Classrooms for ALL families

PTA Membership Drive Our Parent-Teacher Association plays a massive role in enriching our school community, and we need your help to reach our school-wide goal.

• Overall Goal: 350 PTA members

• Current Progress: 153 members signed up (120 of these are staff)

• Staff Participation: 100% of MES staff are PTA members

Continuing our proud tradition since the day Mulberry opened, 100% of our Mulberry staff members have joined the PTA again this year! Now, we are looking to our amazing parent community to help us cross the finish line and reach 350 members. Joining the PTA doesn't require a huge time commitment, but it makes a tremendous impact on our students and school programs.

We will begin allowing parents and visitors the opportunity to eat lunch with their child after Labor Day, on Tuesday, September 8th. The beginning of school is such a critical time for our teachers and students as they build relationships, solidify routines, and learn expectations, therefore we are excited to welcome you to eat with your child beginning Tuesday, September 8th.

Families can see when afternoon buses have left our school. Please go to the Mulberry Announcements section from the school's homepage then select Live School Bus Dismissal Times. **To see real-time updates, you will need to refresh that page every few minutes..**

Parents can also make annual contributions towards the clinic, PBIS, and more. You will need your child's student number to create an account. You can access your child's student number and more via Parent Vue.

• Off: You will not receive a notification when communications are sent.

We are so excited to offer weekly Play to Learn Sessions for children birth to five years of age.

Orientation Details:

• Orientation: Orientation details are provided directly to families once their Online Registration (OLR) and space availability are verified by the school.

Class Schedule:

• Friday, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Enrollment Steps for Inquiring Parents:

1. Complete Online Registration (OLR) via ParentVUE (Option 9: Play 2 Learn).

2. Contact the school (Sarai Kirchner, SDMC) to verify space availability and confirm registration.

1. Orientation details will be provided after registration is complete.

APPLICATIONS FOR 2026 ANGEL TREE ASSISTANCE HAVE BEGUN! This program provides extra assistance with toys and clothes for the upcoming Christmas season.

It's hard to believe it's that time of year again, already! Online registration requires a registration code to access the application, and most locations are doing in-person applications via appointment. Please see the flyer for more information.

Angel Tree Eligibility: Children ages 12 and under as of 12/25/2026 and seniors 65 and older.
