FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
November brings opportunities to honor the histories, traditions, and people who enrich our Cardinal community. Throughout Native American Heritage Month, we recognize the histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Native peoples, including the tribal communities here in our region.
Our district’s recognition calendar also includes Día de los Muertos on November 1–2, Diwali on November 8, Veterans Day on November 11, Thanksgiving on November 26, and Native American Heritage Day on November 27. These observances offer opportunities to learn from one another and appreciate the experiences our students and families bring to FPHS.
During American Education Week, November 16–20, we also recognize our substitutes. We appreciate their flexibility, care, and willingness to step into our classrooms to keep students learning.
As we begin this month, I encourage our Cardinals to stay curious, listen to one another’s stories, and find opportunities to express appreciation. Those everyday moments help make our school a place where people feel known and valued.
