Second-quarter report cards will be sent home on Friday, January 9. Also included that day will be results from the winter testing session. During this session, students completed AIMSweb assessments and MAP Math, and students in grades 3–5 also completed MAP Reading.

Results from these assessments, combined with teacher input, help guide the development of individualized learning plans for our students. At Cedar Bluffs Public School, we are committed to supporting each student’s academic and social growth.

Many factors influence student achievement and performance on assessments, and the results represent just one measure of progress among several indicators we use to monitor growth. It is important to remember that children develop at different rates, and scores may fluctuate throughout the year. Students will have one additional opportunity to demonstrate growth during the spring testing window.

The December Wildcat PRIDE Celebration was held on Friday, December 19th at 8:00 a.m. During the celebration, students were recognized by their teachers for exemplifying what it means to be a Wildcat by living out our five PRIDE traits: Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy.

Our next celebration will take place on Friday, January 30th at 8:00 a.m. in the auxiliary gym. If your student is selected, their classroom teacher will reach out to notify you.

We are proud of our Wildcats and look forward to honoring more students who demonstrate PRIDE every day!

December was a busy and exciting month for students at Cedar Bluffs Elementary School, highlighted by several music performances. Students had multiple opportunities to showcase their musical talents, and they truly shined during each event.

On January 5, kindergarten and first-grade students took the stage for their music concert. Under the direction of Mrs. Marten, the kindergarteners performed Cookies! The Musical!, while the first-grade students delighted the audience with Toys! The Night They Come Alive!.

Next, fifth-grade band students performed during the Grades 5–12 Winter Music Concert. Directed by Mrs. Rehn, the students played multiple selections in their very first band performance, demonstrating impressive growth and confidence.

Finally, preschool students had their moment to shine during their Christmas program on December 17. Mrs. Rehn led these young Wildcats in their first-ever performance, where they sang several songs and brought big smiles to the faces of everyone in attendance.

When students return from the break, any medication administered at school must be brought to school by a parent or guardian. All medications must be returned in their original pharmacy‑labeled container. Thank you for your cooperation.
