The Dawg Dispatch

The Dawg Dispatch is our weekly snapshot of life as a Bulldawg, straight facts, clear wins, and what’s next, so families and staff can pull in the same direction. It reflects our mission:

“The mission of the Aberdeen School District is to inspire ALL students to become problem-solvers, lifelong learners, and productive members of society.”

Ms. Riding’s 5th grade science class has been hard at work exploring force and motion. Students dove into Newton’s Law of Inertia, collaborating in groups to investigate how different forces act on objects.

Through hands-on learning and discussion, the objective is to work together to identify the types of force being applied in real-world scenarios. We want to see our students thinking critically, working as a team, and building a strong foundation in science.

AHS student A. Lopez successfully conducted a preflight inspection and had the incredible opportunity to fly one of our aircraft as part of the ASD Honors Aviation II class. This hands-on experience is a powerful example of how we are preparing our students for high-demand, real-world careers.

Our students and staff proudly wore blue in recognition of Autism Awareness Day! 💙🧩

We are proud to stand together in support of acceptance, understanding, and inclusion for individuals with autism. It was inspiring to see our hallways filled with Bulldog blue as we raised awareness and celebrated the uniqueness of every student. 🐾

Aberdeen Elementary recently hosted a Mini Career Expo, giving students a meaningful look at their futures. As part of the day, students came dressed in their dream job attire or as if preparing for a professional interview, what we proudly call “Best Foot Forward.”

Students rotated through tables of local vendors, asking thoughtful questions and gaining real-world insight into a variety of careers. It was a great example of preparing our students early and showing them that their future starts now.
