MTMS Wolf Wire
September 11, 2026
MT's purpose is to educate and empower students to become responsible citizens.
A Few Words From the Principal
It is nice to have some cooler weather that is allowing for our students to get outside for PE and play outdoor sports. This week we finished up our fall FastBridge assessments (there are a few make-ups we are still finishing). We had students make significant gains and we are excited to share the results with you at parent teacher conferences. Please make sure you have conferences on your calendar/ to do list for September 23 or September 24. More information regarding conferences is below.
Next week our clubs start in full force, so we have added a section to the Wolf Wire so you do not miss out on these opportunities. We will also have an ACP interest meeting during WIN next week since the one planned this week was interrupted. See below for more information. We are looking forward to our students trying something new or sharing something they enjoy with others during these clubs.
Looking forward to next week and the learning that will happen.
Take care!

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher Conferences are fast approaching on September 23rd and 24th. There is a 1/2 day of school on September 23 with an 11:12 dismissal. Open conferences will be held on the 23rd from 4:00-7:30pm and the 24th from 5:05pm until 8:00pm.
Scheduled conferences will take place during the day on Thursday the 24th. Your student's team should be sending out a sign-up link soon if you'd like to schedule a conference. If you don't hear from them by early next week and would like a scheduled conference, please reach out to the team. We look forward to seeing many parents at conferences and discussing your student's strengths and areas to grow.
Car loop - Student drop off and pickup
Thank you to all of you who are using the car loop. We want all of our students to be safe and this is the best way to do that.
- Those of you who are parking in the parking lot or driving down the rows and asking your students to walkthrough the parking lot to your car, please stop. You are slowing everyone down and putting your student in a situation where they could get injured.
- Please use our car loop, not Prairie Ridge Elementary. We have received reports that people have been creating dangerous situations for students and staff at PRE as they are trying to drop off MT and MV students.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. If we all use the car loop as it is intended we can get everyone to school safe and parent on their way in a timely manner.
ACP - After-school Conditioning Program
The Afterschool Conditioning Program, ACP for short, encourages students to build or maintain strength and endurance in preparation for upcoming sports seasons or just for fun. It will consist of 2 training days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the former focused on strength and the latter on endurance. Both days will include challenges and games to encourage students to push themselves physically. We will meet in the Commons at 3:15 each day (unless in the case of sports conflicts, when we will instead meet in the Activity Center) and finish at 4:00 PM. ACP begins Tuesday, September 22.
An informational meeting will be held this Tuesday, Sept. 15th (rescheduled from last week - thanks for everyone's patience). If your student is interested, please have them complete the Permission Slip and Voluntary Participation Waiver, and pay the catastrophic insurance fee of $7.63 through e-funds or Check to the main office before ACP begins. All grades are able to participate.
Good Things at MTMS
From Student Council
Students, how well do you know popular music? Can you listen to the first few seconds of a song and name that tune? Stay after school from 3:15-4:15 on Wednesday, September 16 and join us for a few rounds of music bingo. We'll have prizes for the winners and snacks for all. Open to all MT students. No cost to participate.
